The Ledger Group was formed in 2000 by Leigh Gifford, a self-motivated accounting professional with over twenty years experience providing private and managerial accounting services to both large and small companies. Prior to forming The Ledger Group, Gifford served as Controller for a multi-national corporation in charge of financial reporting, preparation of monthly profit & loss statements, analysis of month-to-month projections and judicious development of budgets to maximize division profitability. 

She strongly believes in the power of accounting technology as a robust tool for helping today’s businesses achieve their financial goals and feels that outsourcing offers a practical, money-saving solution for many small to mid-sized companies. 

She and her company have implemented numerous accounting systems and conversions for Long Island and NY metro-area businesses. As Certified QuickBooks Professionals and Peachtree Advisors, she and her staff have supplied on-site installation and set up along with thorough, hands-on training for a broad range of companies.

Two decades inside the banking and corporate worlds, helped hone her skill sets which run the gamut from Auditor and Cost Accountant to Systems Analyst and Controller. No matter the position, her gaze has always been fixed on the bottom line – and, to this day, it remains the mission of the Ledger Group.
